GENERAL FEATURES FRAME

Made of solid wood.

CORE: 9 cm pocket springs. 800 springs in the 160×200 cm size. BED BASE: Designed with vertical wooden slats spaced apart to improve breathability, reinforced with solid wood crossbars. The bed base sits beneath the frame, allowing the pocket springs to rest securely within the frame. The design is completed above the springs with Dunlop Foam and Microclima fiber for added cushioning, and a neutral fabric on the central surface of the bed base. LEGS: Four legs are required. For one-piece double bed sizes, add one central leg. For double bed sizes, eight legs are required.

Technical Specifications

Solid wood frame upon which the bed base is placed, which in this model is positioned underneath. We use solid wood crossbars to support the weight of the bed frame, upon which the vertical wooden slats rest.

The vertical wooden slats are fixed to the crossbars, improving durability and allowing for optimal breathability of the bed.

The 9 cm pocket spring unit sits atop the rigid slats and is encased by the frame, preventing lateral movement.

On top of the springs, almost flush with the frame, Dunlop foam and microclimate fiber are added for a uniform finish, greater comfort, and improved breathability.

The central top fabric on which the mattress rests is a neutral fabric that facilitates breathability.

Tap Spring Bed Frame

Many people wonder what the difference is between a spring bed frame and a fixed wooden bed frame, since they look the same at first glance. The truth is, if we place a pocket spring mattress on a rigid base (just as if it were on the floor), when we lie down on the mattress, we press down with our weight and compress the springs, making them do all the work of supporting our body, resulting in wear and tear. If we place the mattress on a pocket spring base, when we press down on the mattress with our weight, the spring frame also flexes slightly, distributing the work of supporting us between the base and the mattress and thus reducing wear. As a result, the mattress suffers less, lasts longer, and adapts better to the body. This way, we sleep more optimally, wake up less often, and rest more.

In addition, unlike a rigid wooden base, a spring base greatly improves mattress breathability, since the springs are hollow inside and allow air to circulate between them, just like the mattress itself. This prevents the bed from absorbing moisture and keeps natural materials from drying out, thus extending the life of your sleep system. Proper ventilation also contributes to a cooler sleep environment.

Having clarified the arguments regarding spring bed frames, I invite you to consider whether it's worth investing in a bed with a spring base.
